Tour The Farm

I would like to take a moment to tell you a little bit about the farm and my dogs.
I have eleven acres, all fenced and secure with a large pond and creek for the dogs to explore & play in.
All the dogs are house trained and have been raised with horses and cattle.
Some of the dogs have their Herding Instinct Certificates as well as Herding Capability Certificates.
Many of my dogs are being, or have been trained to pull traditional carts, depending on their age.

Always my goals in my breeding program are to breed not only for beauty but to preserve the intelligence, good temperaments, and working ability of this lovely breed.

My puppies are all raised in the house until they are five weeks of age.

At that time, depending on weather, they are moved into a large puppy yard filled with doggie educational toys, including tires and rocks to climb, tunnels to go through,and boxes to play with.
At seven weeks of age they are given run of the farm, for certain periods of time, where they can further explore the many new smells and sights, gaining more confidence everyday in a new and exciting world.
All my puppies are confident, outgoing, and friendly.
I spend many hours a day with them and the rewards have been many.
There is always lots of company so the puppies are never lacking in socialization.

I follow the progress of my puppies throughout their entire lives.
My breeding stock here on the farm are x-rayed to check for hip and elbow problems at the appropriate age. I also screen their eyes with CERF.

Please be aware that no matter how careful the screening, or how good the parents hips have been rated, clear stock can still produce dysplastic dogs.
Environmental & nutritional factors can also have an influence.
At this time I have a good record of producing problem free dogs.
